This charming 18ct and sterling silver Giardinetti brooch is a fine example of jewelry from the beginning of the 20th century. Boasting a divinely rendered vase with a large base and a burst of sapphire blooms, set with shining golden accents and anchored by a large scroll form handle. Encrusted with 43 diamonds in total, this piece speaks to what would become a longstanding 19th century fascination with gem stone flower brooches. The floral gemstone motif was embraced by houses such as, Buccelati, Cartier, and Bvlgari, who all bathed their clientele in the finest examples of these eternal emblems of affection.
