A special pair of agate earrings that have a wonderful passport stamp of travel history! Built in a typical Archaeological Revival construction, they allow the banded agate material to shine. The secret they hold is, in fact, written on the shepherd's hook; while likely made in England (they are in the typical English manner, and test at 15ct gold) they were imported into France, and bear the 14ct French import hallmark (a shell! on each earring)- how superb! I've included some images of original Ancient earrings for you to enjoy in comparison, and draw your own lines of reference in their design and historical placement.
