Snake rings first came into style in the 1800s when Queen Victoria was given a snake engagement ring by Prince Albert. The intertwined snakes represent eternal love.

The way that the tails just slide down the sides of this ring absolutely enchants me... We all know the story of Queen Victoria's engagement ring, but perhaps the double snake is less considered; a symbol of shared eternity, the two wrap around each other in an effortless, undulating dance.
