Regal and remarkable!
This Swagged French Perpignan Garnet Garland Necklace is a true princess necklace! Crafted circa 1880s in a striking 18 carat gold, this necklace is a pre-Belle Epoque example, with many striking design elements.
First and foremost, these decadent foiled Perpignan Garnets glimmer like starry pomegranate jewels along the length of the necklace, creating the most romantic silhouette. No matter how you choose to wear this piece, it is certain to turn heads.
Another interesting element is the large central rosette with the distinct “wire formed” setting that most perpignant jewels have, indicating that this originated as a South-Eastern French Provençal.
Finally, this necklace features wonderful matching fanned earrings, with delicate blood-red Perpignan garnets dangling elegantly from their central station.
A fabulous addition to any antique jewelry collection!

Age/Origin: French, 1880’s Pre-Belle Epoque

Condition: Excellent historical condition.
Please view and inspect any photos closely. We endeavor to fully disclose all condition information clearly and concisely, however, please note that what qualifies as excellent condition for historical jewelry differs from modern and contemporary pieces; please take the age of the piece into account when examining the piece. Minor age wear is typical and to be expected for antique and vintage jewelry.
