An extremely rare and special Victorian Jockey cameo in onyx and 14ct gold-- Jockey jewelry was hugely popular in the 19th century as both a sporting pastime and an indication of the wearer's sport leaning. I am extremely pleased with the detail in the carving rendered on the brooch- one can truly imagine the horse about to clear the double height jump. Just a phenomenal find for the equestrian enthusiast.
