A remarkable statement piece from the 19th century! This stunning Green agate ring showcases a cameo portrait bust of Greek goddess Diana in stark relief.
Set in a sweet and darling 14 carat pink gold, this cameo features what we like to call “fairytale prongs”; beautiful fleur-de-lis styled foliage motifs along the shank. These prongs elevate the piece with a certain dreaminess, casting a whimsical but glamorous silhouette.
This cameo of Diana is also exceptional, as it features the goddess adorned in a stylized Attic helmet – a type of Grecian battle attire widely used in the Hellenistic world until the Roman Empire. Here, Diana’s luscious curls spill from the bottom of the helmet, illustrating the goddess’s understated yet powerful beauty.
With a rich artistry that immediately captures the gaze, this adornment would no doubt be the perfect addition to any art historian or antique lover’s collection!
